Sacred waters of Neak Pean

Description
Neak Pean is an artificial island on the Preah Khan archaeological site near Angkor (Cambodia). On the island, there is a circular Buddhist temple built during the rule of King Jayavarman VII during the XIIth century. Historians think Neak Pean could represent Anavatapta, a mythical lake in the Himalayas whose waters are supposed to heal any disease.
